Survival was the only strategy, and the only asset I managed was the next fix.
But the Rust Belt teaches you something about foundations. Even when the facade is crumbling, the bones often remain.
The Second Shift is the pivot from demolition to reconstruction. It's the application of a survivalist's grit to an investor's discipline. We don't just see distressed properties; we see reservoirs of trapped equity. We don't just flip houses; we are rebuilding the very neighborhoods that shaped us, proving that what is broken can be rebuilt stronger. This is the transition from survival to legacy.

Growing up in Toledo, Ohio, has instilled in me a 'Steel and Grit' perspective. This city doesn't hand you anything; it teaches you how to build. I am deeply grateful to God for the grace that allowed me to survive the 'First Shift' so I could dedicate my 'Second Shift' to building a lasting legacy.
